USPA UMPIRE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM BACK IN BUSINESS

To all USPA members:

The umpire certification program has been reworked and revitalized and is now available for the remainder of the season. If you are interested in being certified, please complete the following steps:

  • The online umpire tests MUST be taken before being viewed. Both arena and outdoor tests are available online through PoloSK at the button below.
  • For security purposes, you will need to register on PoloSK via the USPA Member Portal. Once registered on PoloSK, you will be able to access the 2022 Umpire Tests directly via https://app.polosk.com. For PoloSK technical questions, please send an email to info@polosk.com.
  • After the test(s) are taken and passed, a request MUST be made to be viewed. USPA Umpires, LLC, will have professional umpires and clinicians traveling throughout the spring, summer and fall umpiring/teaching at different clubs all over the country. All viewing requests need to be made to Bradley Biddle (bbiddle@uspolo.org) or Robin Sanchez (polorsanchez@gmail.com).
  • For those already certified, remember tests must be taken annually or certification will be lost. Exceptions have been made in regards to viewing and testing the last few years due to the pandemic and inability to travel. Umpires LLC will return to normal testing time (yearly) and viewing time (three years) moving forward.

USPA COVID-19 UPDATE

Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
