The Advisory Board of NPC Polo Operations, LLC, which manages all polo-related activity at the USPA National Polo Center – Wellington (NPC), announced that it is inviting interested USPA Member Clubs, and charitable and other organizations that support the polo community, to submit proposals for polo games to be played on the U.S. Polo Assn. Field One at NPC on any of the following Sundays during April and May of 2023: April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21 and May 28.
Written proposals will be considered for games at the low-, medium-, and high-goal levels, international games, inter-club games, women’s games, youth games, and charity games. Priority will be given to USPA Member Clubs that have not as of yet hosted games at NPC, but any organization supporting the polo community and capable of putting on a competitive game is welcome to apply. When judging the proposals, the Advisory Board will seek to further the mission of NPC, that is, to be the permanent center of polo in America, create demand for polo, support USPA Member Clubs, serve the entire polo community and set the standard for excellence in polo.
Those who make written proposals that are of interest to the Advisory Board will be provided with a copy of the standard 2023 NPC event agreement for their consideration and given the opportunity to discuss their proposal in person or on Zoom with the Advisory Committee.
Please submit your written proposal by email on or before Wednesday, March 15 to USPA Polo Development LLC Executive Director Justin Powers.
The members of the Advisory Board of NPC Polo Operations, LLC, are Charles Smith, Chairman; Mike Carney; Cecelia Cochran; Mason Wroe; and Steve Orthwein, Jr.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
