WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 27, 2019) — USPA Global Licensing Inc. (USPAGL), the official licensing arm and national broadcaster of the United States Polo Association (USPA), announced that U.S. Polo Assn. will be outfitting college polo players through an exciting new nationwide collegiate outreach program. Through this initiative, players at 16 colleges and universities across the country will sport U.S. Polo Assn. branded product to wear in their polo games and on campus throughout the polo and academic season.
The program will provide a multitude of USPA college polo teams with jerseys, white pants and polo shirts while simultaneously allowing the U.S. Polo Assn. to form new ambassador relationships with players at the participating schools. Of the current USPA intercollegiate teams, 16 have signed up to be a part of the partnership that includes both women’s and men’s teams and will encompass a social media initiative.
“Our partnership with the USPA college polo organizations enable U.S. Polo Assn. to work closely with many amazing female and male collegiate players who have a tremendous work ethic on both the polo fields and in the classroom,” explains USPAGL President & CEO, J. Michael Prince. “The opportunity to outfit tomorrow’s polo talent and future leaders is yet another way to connect with young athletes, sports fans and millennial consumers in the most authentic and experiential way. We are thrilled and honored to support these players at 16 fantastic colleges and universities across the country.”
Carlucho Arellano added, “Our USPA collegiate programs are a vital part of fostering young polo players. We are proud to have U.S. Polo Assn., the official licensed brand for the sport, providing great support for our college teams and the intercollegiate competitions through outfitting and digital media support.”
With this new collaboration, U.S. Polo Assn. will provide product and some financial support to each of the following programs:
