U.S. POLO ASSN. ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP OF THE 2019 MANIPUR STATEHOOD DAY WOMEN’S POLO TOURNAMENT

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 15, 2019) — U.S. Polo Assn. announces its sponsorship of the highly- anticipated 2019 Manipur Statehood Day Women’s Polo Tournament to be held in Manipur, India from January 17-21, 2019. For the fourth consecutive year, this unique event - India’s first and only international women’s polo tournament - features women’s polo teams from around the world, solidifying Manipur as the premier destination for women’s polo. The tournament is organized by the Manipur Tourism Association in partnership with the All Manipur Polo Association and Huntre! Equine.

Teams from the United States, Canada, Argentina, and Kenya, courtesy of Incredible India, as well as from the Indian Polo Association and Manipur, will compete in the league field tournament. As the official apparel supplier, U.S. Polo Assn. will outfit each of the six teams with official jerseys. Additionally, U.S. Polo Assn. will provide hats and shirts for staff and volunteers, as well as have signage throughout the event promoting women’s polo.

The 4th Manipur Statehood Day Women’s Polo Tournament 2019 will be broadcast and live-streamed via Door Darshan Kendra Imphal, part of India’s national public television network. The event will also be broadcast on Al Jazeera Kuala Lumpur on its weekly program 101 East, its top-rated newsmagazine that covers current events across the entire Asia and Pacific regions.
