“My dad would have turned 85 in March of this year. He was blessed with a long, full, healthy life. He had many friends, a lovely wife Kathleen, three siblings, six children and seven grandchildren. He was responsible for starting me and my my brothers in the sport of polo. He had a passion for living and pursued the things he loved whole heartedly. Italian by heritage, he owned several Italian restaurants in Chicago, a Jazz club (he loved music and played several instruments) and was a promoter of polo in the Chicago area. On the weekends he organized polo for friends and his family at his farm outside of the city in Barrington, Illinois. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye, for a time, to a man who offered so much to so many during his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by all of us, but his stories and zest for life will live forever in our hearts.” – Mike Azzaro (Originally published in the The Morning Line).
The USPA would like to express sincere condolences to the Azzaro family. Vince was a great supporter, player and friend to the sport of polo. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
