I joined the USPA staff a year and a half ago as an administrative assistant for the USPA Umpires, LLC. I handle travel arrangements for the umpires; input tournament rosters and schedules on the PoloSK app; compile and facilitate yellow card reviews, including pulling video footage for our reviewers and notifying players of the review board’s decision; plan our yearly umpire boot camp; and assistant with anything else the umpires may need.
I grew up in Newport, Rhode Island, where my father manages a polo club. I’ve always loved horses and started riding when I was very young. I was initially involved in hunters, jumpers and show jumping, but always wanted to play polo as a child. I spent all my time at the barn and groomed during the summer.
At the time, there were not many kids playing in Newport, so a couple of friends and I started an interscholastic team. I also played with a group of women once a week. My two sisters started playing during the pandemic, and we all play together in women’s tournaments from time to time. My father doesn’t play anymore but continues to manage the club.
After high school, I moved to Los Angeles, California, to work in the music and film industry. I became a tour manager for musicians and a production coordinator on sets for years. That included work on TV, music video and commercial sets. I traveled all over the world with a variety of acts throughout my 20s and early 30s.
In 2011, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Whenever I was on break from touring, I would ride as much as I could, but I really missed being involved in polo on a regular basis.
I returned to Los Angeles in 2017, giving up touring and taking an office job. That allowed me to ride and play on a regular basis and even own horses. When the pandemic shut down the entertainment industry, I started working in polo by grooming, timing games and renting umpire horses. When the world started to reopen, I realized I was much happier in the world of polo and decided to stay there. When the opportunity to work for Umpires LLC came up, I jumped at it!
Outside of work, I love music, animals and the beach. While I have traveled quite a bit, there are still a lot more places I’d like to visit, with Greece, Spain and Portugal topping my list.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
