Formerly the coach for Skidmore College Polo Club and Virginia Polo Inc., Tico's Whoopies Founder Holly Holleran is offering an effortless (and sweet) year-round opportunity to fundraise for I/I clubs through her company. Tico’s Whoopies ships delicious, gourmet whoopie pies nationwide for any special occasion including care packages at school, birthdays, holidays or business gifts.
The “Tico’s 10%” program is very similar to Amazon Smile. When placing an order, customers select the USPA interscholastic or intercollegiate club of their choice on the checkout page and the club will receive a percentage of the sales. Taking advantage of the program, Work to Ride has already raised some much needed funds this year. Easy to launch, the Tico’s Whoopies I/I fundraiser is a great way to start earning money for your I/I team. Checks will be sent to the club on a monthly basis.
What is a Tico’s Whoopie Pie? Tico’s Whoopie Pies are an oversized cake-like sandwich filled with fluffy crème based on Grandma Tico’s recipes from the 1930s. Featured in the New York Times, they are available in a four pack or dozen boxes with flavors including chocolate, peanut butter, pumpkin and red velvet. Shipped nationwide via FedEx in decorative gift boxes with handwritten gift notes, Tico’s treats are perfect for any special occasion!

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
