Texas Arena League (TAL) has announced the 2019 schedule. TAL is an arena polo league played over four weekends and three locations across the state of Texas. Teams and individual players from all over Texas and surrounding states join in for competitive play and fun. 2018 included players from County Line Polo Club (Kyle, Texas), Two Wishes Polo Club (Lockhart, Texas), Midland Polo Club (Midland, Texas), San Antonio Polo Club (San Antonio, Texas), South Padre Island Polo Club (South Padre Island, Texas), Texas Military Polo Club (Poteet, Texas), Legend's Polo Club (Kaufman, Texas), Willow Bend Polo Club (Little Elm, Texas), Dallas Polo Club (Red Oak, Texas), River Bend Polo Club (Wellborn, Texas), ATX Polo Club (Manor, Texas), Houston Polo Club (Houston, Texas), Texas Tech Polo Club (Lubbock, Texas), Legend’s Horse Ranch (Kaufman, Texas) and the Central Texas Polo Association. 2018 was so popular and successful that additional days and weekends have been added to the 2019 schedule. Two divisions will be played at each location; 0- to 30-goal will be played on Saturdays and 3- to 6-goal will be played Sundays. Each location may choose to include a third flight to accommodate newer players and polo school participants. Teams, individuals and horses garner points at each location to be counted towards final awards.

“Texas Arena League sent out a survey to all of the players from the 2018 season,” said organizer Megan Flynn. “The feedback we received led to some significant changes for the 2019 season. For example, TAL will be playing the different divisions on two different days so that players can compete in both. There is also a new award: High-Point Individual, and we are very excited to announce that Nutrena is on board for the Best Playing Pony awards this year,” Flynn continued.

“It’s a great way to develop friendship and competition between players and clubs,” shared Legend’s Horse Ranch owner and player Nacho Estrada. “Texas Arena League is both competitive and social. Because in the end, it’s about having a good time and enjoying the sport of polo.”
