Santa Clara Polo Club located in Wellington, Florida, has announced it will host a Florida Circuit Regional President’s Cup qualifier from October 24 to November 2, 2024. The winners will move on to compete in the National President’s Cup at the National Polo Center – Wellington (Wellington, Florida) in April 2025.
In addition to the Regional President’s Cup, the fall season will officially kick-off on Tuesday, September 24, with practices scheduled every Tuesday and games held on Thursdays and Saturdays. Additionally, the club will offer Polo School and Coaching League. Santa Clara Polo Club will provide more details on the schedule and activities planned around fall tournaments.
Occupying 48 acres less than two miles from the National Polo Center, Santa Clara Polo Club has grown over the last 30 years to become a staple in the South Florida polo community. Owned and run by three generations of Escobars, Santa Clara is one of the last family-owned polo clubs in Wellington accessible to the public. Santa Clara Polo Club strives to create a lively and hospitable atmosphere for both beginners and high-goal pros. All teams are encouraged to bring friends and family to support the fall tournaments. In keeping with tradition, trophies, awards and celebrations are scheduled following the conclusion of every event.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
