Myopia Polo Club located in South Hamilton, Massachusetts wrapped up the USPA Chairman’s Cup this past Sunday. The final game took place on the historic Gibney field. Looking to repeat last year's win, Chanticleer/Pony-Up went head-to-head against Del Rancho/Black Oak. USPA umpires Sain Joseph and Robert Lyn-Kee-Chow bowled in the first ball in front of a huge crowd. Del Rancho/Black Oak worked well together in the first half with Johann Colloredo-Mansfeld and Team USPA member Felipe Viana scoring 5 goals in the first half. Team USPA member CB Scherer added another goal while playing great defense. Chanticleer/Pony-Up did not lose confidence and came back in the fifth chukker as Marcos Onetto climbed on board his fastest mount "Fanta" scoring two goals from the field and assisting Pancho Eddy for another. Barrett Coke also made some great runs to goal on the lighting fast Chanticleer string as Rick Salter closed the back door. Del Rancho/Black Oak played strong and won the Chairman’s Cup (11-8). Team USPA member CB Scherer was named MVP, and Best Playing Pony went to “Fanta” owned and ridden by Macros Onetto. Photo Courtesy of WNDA Studios.
