The winter is fast approaching, and Port Mayaca Polo Club (PMPC) is looking forward another great season. Similar to past years, the club will have three club practices per week, from early December through April. Club practices are open to Club Members, with several Membership options available.
Port Mayaca Polo Club will be opening their tournament season with the Steve Orthwein Memorial Family Cup, running between Christmas and New Year. The 6-goal teams competing will now have a chance to play all season, as the club has extended 6-goal tournaments to run monthly for January, February and March.
In February and March PMPC will also be hosting 10-goal and 18-goal leagues. The 18-goal will kick off in February with the Butler Handicap, a USPA national tournament, with a $50,000 cash prize!
Port Mayaca Polo Club is also thrilled to be a part of the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship™ for the second year. Following the Tabebuia Cup on March 7, the U.S. Open ladies will be playing all preliminary games from March 10-21 at PMPC.
To finish up the season PMPC will have two weeks of 6-goal and 8-goal, along with the annual National Youth Tournament Series Tournament, April 4, in conjunction with the Linfoot Polo Clinic.
There is limited stabling still available. If you are considering Port Mayaca Polo Club for your stabling, please contact Laura Linfoot Townsend at portmayacapolo@gmail.com as soon as possible to reserve a spot.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
