Oct 31, 2016
This is a friendly reminder to all current certified umpires, and umpires who have been observed that are seeking a new certification for 2016. If you have not completed the 2016 Rules/Umpire Test, you must do so by December 1, 2016 to maintain your certification, or to become certified. The testing websites will be taken down in December to prepare for 2017 tests. Outdoor umpires must score a minimum grade of 95% and arena umpires must score a minimum grade of 94%.
As the USPA Umpires LLC, UMP Program continues to grow, safe and consistent umpiring is an important aspect for the growing sport of polo. The UMP Reimbursement Program is equally important to USPA member clubs in achieving certified umpires, and reimbursing clubs for acquiring certified umpire services. Umpires must be logged in as a USPA member to take the Rules/Umpire Test. To complete the Umpire/Rules test, click the link below:

Umpires not meeting certification requirements will not be considered a certified umpire for 2017. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Maggie Mitchell.
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
