Attention: Youth polo players in Wellington, Florida this Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th. Santa Clara Polo Club in Wellington, Florida will host their first National Youth Tournament Series Qualifier and Florida’s first of 2016. Players still interested in registering, please contact KC Kruger: kcbeal@gmail.com as soon as possible. A few spots are still available.
Who can play in the NYTS? Players born after 1/1/1997 who have current memberships with the USPA and a minumum handicap of "B" are eligible.
Do I enter as an individual or as a team? Individual entries are taken by the host club and teams are made by the host club tournament committee.
What about All-Stars? All-Stars are chosen at each tournament. At the end of the NYTS season a committee chooses a team from all of the All-Stars in the zone. That team will then represent their zone at the National Championship over Labor Day weekend.
Who provides the horses? Players are required to mount themselves in NYTS qualifiers and at the Championships. Players may play their own horses or they may arrange to rent or borrow suitable horses. At Championships, the NYTS Committee provides a list of horse providers for players to contact directly.
How many chukkers is it? All NYTS games are four chukkers. New for 2016: the Tournament Conditions have been adjusted to allow for a 3 or 5 team tournament to be played according to the USPA Round Robin Format.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
