MIDWEST OPEN BOASTS EIGHT TEAM SHOWDOWN

Las Brisas Polo Club in Elgin, Illinois, announced the highly anticipated third annual Midwest Open presented by CD Peacock taking place from Friday, August 9 to Sunday, August 25.

An unprecedented eight teams are set to compete in the 14-goal USPA-sanctioned tournament, the highest level of polo in the Midwest. Traveling from across the world, teams will converge on Las Brisas. Located in the heart of the Midwest, Las Brisas Polo Club has established itself as a premier polo destination.

Las Brisas Polo Club founder and owner Larry Aschebrook continues to be committed to growing the sport of polo in the Midwest. In 2024, Las Brisas unveiled new polo fields, an arena side clubhouse with viewing platform and 20 additional large paddocks. Arranmore Polo Club (Oswego, Illinois) and Passion for Polo will serve as field partners for the Midwest Open.

“In 2023, Las Brisas aimed to grow the Midwest Open to be the highest rated tournament with the most teams in the summer. We wanted to expand the tournament and the teams. Las Brisas is making it bigger and better every season. For polo to be successful, you must have someone push the boundaries of what is possible. Las Brisas Polo Club has done that,” shared Polo Director Pam Mudra.

Las Brisas Polo Club is proud to partner with PoloLine TV who will be recording, uploading and commentating each game to pololinetv.com. The final of the Midwest Open will be live on PoloLine TV on Sunday, August 25 at 4:00pm CST.
