The Camara de Diputados Cup is one of the most important tournaments in Argentina and the world. Participating alone is a privilege and Jared Zenni* will have the honors. In a play-off qualifying match, Jared was essential in La Irenita defeating La Quinta in overtime thanks to a penalty scored by the American.
Jared's teammates are Horacio Fernández Llorente, Gonzalo Del Tour and Michel del Carril. In the Camara qualifiers they lost 10-7 against El Overo Z/UAE, but then went on to defeat Trenque Lauquen 9-5 and La Madrugada Pilarchico 10-6. Placing second in their bracket they secured a playoff match against La Quinta, with Englishmen Luke Tomlinson and James Beim, and Argentines Juan Ambroggio and Lucas Lalor. "I'm glad we managed to win and that we're going to be playing the Camara, it's an amazing tournament," said Zenni.
The one who didn't manage to qualify for the Camara de Diputados Cup was Jesse Bray*. He played the qualifiers with La Cañada, along with Facundo Obregón, Facundo Losa and Costi Caset*. They managed to defeat Martindale La H 11-4 and La Ensenada Betania 9-7. However, they lost their playoff match against Martindale (Manuel Fernández Llorente, Agustín Canale, Benjamín Urquiza, Rodrigo Rueda) by 9-7. "It's a shame, we were winning 6-2 at half-time but in the end we lost 9-7," said Bray.
The Camara will have 16 teams between 24 and 30 goals participating.
