The Team USPA women, led by coach and manager Steve Armour, USPA Governor at Large and Team USPA Committee member, kicked off the India International Women’s Polo Tour 2017 with a polo match at the Mundota Fort and Palace Polo Grounds in Jaipur. Vikram Singh Rathore of the House of Mundota graciously hosted the game with the blessings of HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, in his ancestral Mundota Fort and Palace. The game was played in the shadow of the fort atop the Aravalli Range in Jaipur. The Fort and Palace are over 400 years old and include a polo facility with 80 stalls, arena polo, a stick and ball field and riding trails. It is India's first and only Luxury Heritage Polo Resort - the hotel is scheduled to open later this year.
Two mixed teams, Mundota Fort & Palace, Jaipur and Antriksh India, faced off for the Antriksh India Jaipur Gold Cup. Mundota Fort & Palace, Jaipur won the game 5-3. Team USPA members Winslow and Audry Persano contributing three of the total winning goals.

The India International Women’s Polo Tour also known as “Polo Yatra” is India's national tour of international women's polo organized by Huntré! Equine. It expresses the USPA-led initiative to support, develop and promote women's polo in India. After Jaipur, where Team USPA women made their first appearance last year in 2016, the team flies south to the city of Hyderabad for coaching clinics and the first International Women’s Arena Polo Tournament hosted by Nasr Polo.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
