The 2019-2020 Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) Season is here! Will Texas A&M University show up for a three-peat sweep of both men and women's at NIC this year? Will Maryland hold onto their girls’ interscholastic streak? Will Prestonwood try for a repeat?
Teams from around the country, Canada and Guatemala are all gearing up for another action-packed season, which officially began on September 1. Teams compete through regular season games throughout the fall and winter, seeding themselves into the tournament season which will begin in February and culminate in the National Championships.
The National Interscholastic Championships will be hosted by Brookshire Polo Club (Brookshire, Texas) in March, and the National Intercollegiate Championships will be hosted by Virginia Polo Inc. (Charlottesville, Virginia) the first week of April.
Follow live scoring of your favorite teams on the I/I scoreboard on uspolo.org.
If you are interested in joining a team, or starting a new one, please contact I/I Program Coordinator Ali Davidge (adavidge@uspolo.org) today to get started!
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
