Founded 14 years ago, only a 35-minute drive away from Wellington, Florida, Hobe Sound Polo Club (Hobe Sound, Florida) is a large facility with great conditions for polo. The club boasts seven fields, a barn with 24 stalls, plus a private golf course, 'Grove 23,' which is owned by the NBA legend Michael Jordan. Hobe Sound Polo Club focuses on low- and medium-goal tournaments and practice matches, and also offer their excellent fields for high-goal practices. “We want to create a good environment, friendly and fun, but that is also competitive,” said Club Manager Pablo Dorignac. “We want people to come and have fun, to create new team owners and players, and give new motivation to the ones that were starting to get bored,” Dorignac continued. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
