The Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame wish to recognize those players who have truly excelled in the sport. Any player is eligible for election to the Polo Hall of Fame who has contributed to the game in an extraordinary and honorable manner, whether by dedication to the sport or by ability and record as a player.
Any person may be recommended for election to the Polo Hall of Fame by any other individual. Candidates’ names for consideration for induction into the Polo Hall of Fame will be presented to the Nominating Committee by submitting an application which will be returned, completed and signed by the nominating parties.
The selection process will focus on playing record, highest handicap, number of wins in the U.S. Open Polo Championship or equivalent tournaments, other high-goal tournament participation, international appearances and other extraordinary achievements or service to the sport of polo.
Foreign players may be considered if it is determined that they have made significant contributions to polo in the United States. A player must hold their highest handicap for five consecutive years before they can be considered for induction.
You can view the description of selection criteria, the selection procedure and the full list of members of the Nominating Committee below.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
