Susan Present submitted her resignation as USPA Chief Financial Officer on August 30, 2024. Susan joined the USPA 11 years ago, overseeing a small staff in the corporate finance and administration department. Since that time, the department has grown to meet the demands of a multifaceted organization, which now includes the National Polo Center.
During her tenure, Susan supervised all financial matters and many administrative matters, including accounting, budgeting, finance, investment management, risk management, loan and tax compliance, human resources and information technology.
Always conducting herself in a professional manner, Susan is highly regarded by her staff, colleagues, board members and volunteers. The USPA appreciates her many years of loyal service and commitment to the Association.
Susan has asked This Week in Polo to send the following message to the USPA Board, its Committees, Volunteers, and Staff, and to all USPA Members and Member Clubs: “My service as the USPA’s CFO began in March 2014. I am proud to have participated in the USPA’s long-term growth and I express my continuing admiration for the company that I’ve come to know - I wish everyone the best of luck in the future."
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
