School is out and summer polo fun is about to begin! Empire Polo Club, located in Indio, California, will host its annual Polo Summer Day Camp for children June 21-25, 2017. Beginners to more advanced players are welcome to join Connie Atkinson and USPA Certified Polo Instructor Robin Sanchez to learn the game of polo, horse care and riding skills.

Morning lessons 7:30-11am PST
Afternoon lessons 5:30-9:00pm PST
*Players are required to attend both morning and afternoon lessons
Activities include
Care of polo horse and equipment, tacking and wrapping a polo horse, rules and strategies of the game, horsemanship, mallet work, teamwork and development of playing skills, daily scrimmage practice in the arena and on grass fields and a final tournament.
Cost
$500 per person (Includes horse and tack, water, snacks, evening BBQ, camp shirts, prizes and trophies).
Requirements
USPA membership is required of all participants. New players are eligible for one free year of membership.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
