Located in Carpinteria, California, Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club (SBPRC) provides a world-class polo facility for polo patrons, professionals and amateurs, offering over six months of polo each year at a variety of levels. Nestled between the Carpinteria Foothills and the Pacific Ocean, the club offers a stunning setting for seasonal competition, beginning with casual club chukkers in mid-April before the start of summer.
SBPRC is thrilled to kick-off the spring season with the 12-goal series leading up to the Folded Hills Pacific Coast Circuit Intra-Circuit Cup. The Lisle Nixon Memorial has been recognized by the USPA as a Legacy Polo Series tournament, honoring the local history at the club.
12-Goal Series:
LUCID Motors Pope Challenge: May 3-5
JHHE Vic Graber Cup: May 10-19
Lisle Nixon Memorial: May 24 - June 2
Folded Hills Pacific Coast Circuit Intra-Circuit Cup: June 7-23
The polo programs at SBPRC operate on many tiers; a spring Pro Pool and 6- to 8-Goal Pro-Am offer opportunities for local players and new players to enjoy the club's fabulous fields and camaraderie. The Polo Academy offers lessons for all ages. New this year, the club will host a Spring Chance low-goal tournament from June 20-23, offering low-goal players in Southern California an opportunity to shine. The youth players will get their turn in the sun with NYTS on Saturday, May 18.
In addition to on-site stabling, the club offers extraordinary amenities such as concierge service, member parties and country club quality tennis courts, swimming pool and gym.
Following the 12-goal, the club plans to renovate fields in preparation for the 16-goal season leading up to the Pacific Coast Open and the Rincon League 8-goal. The Rincon League is one of the most competitive 8-goal tournament series in the country.
