Twin City Polo Club - July 30-31, 2016
Team Chicago (Lucas Raimondo, Alberdi Maldonado, Jack Aubone, Maximo Font), Team Des Moines (Tomas Aubone, Carlos Font, Jackie Farniok, Brandie Joy) and Team Winnipeg (Tim Murphy, Regan & Katy Smith, Anna Alworth, Ryland Reback) competed in a USPA round-robin July 30-31 at Twin City Polo Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The three teams played extremely competitive games with Team Des Moines winning the final over Team Winnipeg, by a half goal, in a close 5.5 to 5. The All Stars for Zone Two included Tomas Aubone, Carlos Font, Tim Murphy, Lucas Raimondo and Regan Smith.
Twin City Polo Club has been steeped in history for the past 52 years and interest in polo has steadily increased in popularity in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Amy Alworth summed up the sentiments of the weekend, "It was very exciting to see all the hard work of these players conclude in these games. I have not been around a more supportive, good natured and positive group of kids."

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
