In order to encourage growth of circuit military tournaments, the USPA Armed Forces Committee (AFC) will provide $1,250.00 in reimbursement funding for circuit military tournaments in 2018. All clubs that are interested are required to fill out this form by September 1, 2018. The tournament must be played in 2018.
Similarly, in 2019 the AFC will again provide support for circuit events as described above. In addition, the AFC will support the 2019 USPA’s National Outdoor 0- to 12-goal Commander-in-Chief Cup with $2,000. If your club is interested in hosting this event, please submit an application via the link above.
Tournaments that qualify for this program include:
General George S. Brown (Outdoor/4-6 goal)
General George S. Patton Jr. (Outdoor/4-goal)
General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller (Arena/3-6 goal)
Admiral Chester W. Nimitz (Arena/0-3 goal)
Commander-in-Chief Cup (Outdoor 0- to 12-goal)
Requirement for hosting a circuit military tournament:
(1) Required to have at least one military member on each team (active duty, retired, honorable discharge, family member of military member, or spouse). *If all players meet the required military member tournament condition, those that have actually served have priority over spouse or family member.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
