Applications are now being accepted to host the prestigious 2021 Monty Waterbury®, a 16- to 20-goal historic national outdoor tournament. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 26. Club Delegates may apply for consideration through the Tournament Database by logging into the Member Portal and selecting "Tourn Data" and “Tournament Application Form.” Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Monty Waterbury® was canceled.
The Monty Waterbury® is the third oldest official USPA trophy in active competition, named in honor of 10-goal polo immortal James "Monty" Waterbury. A member of The Wanderers polo team, which won polo's first U.S. Open Polo Championship® in 1904, he is also remembered as a member of the USA team known as the “Big Four,” that won five Westchester Cups against Great Britain.
If you have any questions please contact Tournament Coordinator, Kaila Dowd at kdowd@uspolo.org.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
