In 2016, four Team USPA members claimed the victory and a hefty check in the $50,000 National 12-Goal at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. This year, nine members of the program entered the tournament in hopes of capturing the title. Team USPA members Matt Coppola and Tomy Alberdi teamed up with Kristos Magrini and Juan Monteverde to play for Tackeria. Alberdi was a soldier at the penalty line, sinking shot after shot throughout the match versus GSA. Play was back and forth and the score remained even going into the final chukker. As the clock ticked down, GSA took control of the ball and sealed their victory over Tackeria.

County Line Feed teamed up with Kylie Sheehan, Santi Torres, Nick Johnson and Wesley Finlayson to enter an all-Team USPA roster into the tournament. After drawing a bye to the semifinals, County Line Feed/Team USPA faced a forceful GSA team. GSA hit the field running and began racking up goals, but County Line Feed/Team USPA were poised for a comeback in the second half of play. GSA once again took control of the offensive momentum in the final chukker of play, winning their second match of the tournament.

Team USPA member Felipe Viana and Westhaven defeated Port Mayaca to secure their semifinal berth against Casablanca, who narrowly defeated Pologistics to advance. Members Jesse Bray and Matias Gonzalez with Casablanca took on Viana and Westhaven on Friday afternoon. Viana and the Westhaven team controlled the first half of play, putting Casablanca in a tough spot offensively going into halftime. Bray, Gonzalez and their teammates rallied together and began to chip away at the deficit. In the final minute of play, Casablanca scored on a risky backshot to secure their spot in the final against GSA.

The $50,000 National 12-Goal Final is slated to take place Tuesday, March 14, at 4:00pm ET.

A big thank you County Line Feed for supporting Team USPA and their valiant effort in the $50,000 National 12-Goal. Team USPA would also like to thank Grand Champions Polo Club for hosting the tournament and providing a venue for many Team USPA players to compete.
