After a very successful year, which included being the first woman ever to play in the FIP World Polo Championship final and having reached the Women’s Argentine Open final, Hope Arellano* confirmed that she will compete for El Overo Z7 UAE in Argentina next year, alongside Izzy Parsons, Milly Hine, and Hazel Jackson.
El Overo Z7 UAE is one of the strongest women’s polo organizations in the world. Two-time champions and three times runners-up of the Women’s Argentine Open, they lost in this year’s semifinals against La Irenita E Movility, the team Arellano played for in the past two seasons. Hope and Izzy Parsons will replace Lia Salvo and Clara Cassino. Milly Hine and Hazel Jackson remain from the original team.
*Hope Arellano is an active Team USPA Member. Team USPA is a USPA program designed to enhance and grow the sport of polo in the United States by identifying young, talented American players and providing mentored training and playing opportunities leading to a pool of higher rated amateur and pro players and the resultant giveback to the sport of polo.
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC.
