My name is Billy Raab, and I’m running for circuit governor of the Southeastern circuit. I have 56 years of involvement in polo, my experience spans playing in the US, UK, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. I have a broad background as a professional player at the 5-goal level, a professional umpire, currently a circuit governor, and the club manager of the Wagener Polo Club.
I am very interested in helping clubs and low goal players have a much better experience in polo. My focus on enhancing the experience for all groups stems from my extensive background and desire to ensure that all participants, regardless of their level, have the support and resources they need to thrive in the sport.
My candidacy for circuit governor of the US Polo Association is driven by my deep understanding of the sport, my diverse experiences, and my commitment to fostering the growth and development of polo safely and for all to enjoy.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
