United States Polo Association®

Dan Coleman

Circuit: E - Eastern Home Club: Liberty Hall Polo Club

All the candidates that I have heard are running are great folks, however, I am the only candidate with prior Board experience (served as a Circuit Governor for 2010-2107) who is ready to hit the ground running to work for your club on day one.

I am a polo player through and through. I am a club owner, instructor, player, coach and pro umpire. 5 members of my immediate family play our sport: my wife Sarah, my sons: Zak & Danny, and daughter Simonetta. We play 12 months of the year, both grass and arena. We travel thousands of miles each year to play with other clubs and players.

If elected CG I pledge to all of the clubs to:
Work to drive association resources to ALL the clubs in the circuit: Polo development grants, umpires, higher quality tournaments. We are one of the largest circuits and we should get more attention from the USPA.
Represent clubs and grassroots polo on the Board. There is a lot of focus on Florida these days. I want to make sure that the association serves our circuit.
Approve and maximize participation in tournaments and to help clubs develop leagues at all levels from 0 goals to the high goal on the field and in the arena
Be present at all our clubs, on the sidelines or the field and be available via phone, text, and email, to listen to your problems and if the USPA can help to bring the correct resources to bear on them
To re-start regional delegate meetings / teleconferences to help share resources, promote tournaments and maximize participation
To not play polotics in the awarding of tournaments or access to Association resources
