Prestonwood Polo & Country Club is one of the premier polo clubs of North Texas. Prestonwood is part of the DFW Polo Association, a newly-formed group of Dallas area polo clubs that have banded together to create higher-quality polo in the Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. Prestonwood is Located on 97 acres of pristine real estate north of Dallas in Oak Point, between the cities of Frisco and Denton. The club boasts three bermuda grass fields, two arenas (one full-size outdoor arena and one covered arena), 48 covered stalls, a three-quarter mile track, bridal paths, turn-out pastures and 22 home lots two-and-half acres each with breathtaking views of the polo grounds. Established in 2008, Prestonwood is one of the largest USPA Member Clubs in North Texas, thanks in large part to its successful interscholastic and intercollegiate programs, referred to as “I/I" polo.
Polo is played year-round, and unlike other clubs in Texas, Prestonwood does not shut down in the off season. Members play on outdoor grass fields in spring, summer and fall; in the winter months the club plays in the arena. In addition to year-round weekday practice chukkers, Prestonwood offers Saturday league polo on the outdoor grass fields in the spring and fall.
The youth polo I/I programs are one of the most successful in the country. Prestonwood hosts two intercollegiate polo programs including Texas Christian University and the University of North Texas (UNT). In 2023, UNT men won the DI National Intercollegiate Championship and in 2022 UNT men were national runners-up. The interscholastic Prestonwood team are five-time Central Regional Champions. The high school team also won the National Interscholastic Championship in 2016 and 2019, and placed second in 2015.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
