Originally founded in the late 1980s as the Lakewood Polo Club by former players from the Chicago Avenue Armory, Barrington Hills Polo Club offers year-round polo competition either on the grass or in the arena, as well as a polo school taught by United States Polo Association Certified Polo Instructors. The Barrington Hills Polo Club is dedicated to the idea of polo as a game shared among people who love horses, good times and each other's company. Membership in the Barrington Hills Polo Club is open to everyone, regardless of skill level—from beginner to professional. Barrington Hills Polo Club is a registered non-profit organization where all club members volunteer to support the club's administration, keeping costs down and allowing for an affordable polo experience.
At Barrington Hills Polo Club, players of all skill levels can enjoy friendly, high-quality polo in a lighthearted, relaxed atmosphere, 12 months a year. The Barrington Hills Polo Club has three state-of-the-art facilities for playing polo: a regulation grass polo field located in Barrington Hills, a regulation 300' by 150' outdoor arena with on-site clubhouse located at Fox Creek Stables in Wauconda, Illinois, and a large 200' by 60' indoor arena also located at Fox Creek Stables. In addition, Fox Creek Stables offers complete stabling facilities, including expert care, turnout and easy access to miles of forest preserve trails.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
