What has been one of your favorite teaching memories?

“It is always so rewarding to see my students not only improve their polo but also their horsemanship and complete understanding of the game. Also, at the beginning of my teaching career, getting to help introduce some of the students at the Middle Grades Partnership to horses and polo. This is a program at Garrison Forest that provides summer support to academically promising middle school youth from Baltimore City. It was an inspiration to see the program eventually offer polo as a part of the curriculum, pioneered by Cindy Halle.”
