Posey began playing polo at the Garrison Forest School in the 5th grade. Continuing her polo career through high school and into college Posey attended University of Kentucky and played on the team. Posey initially began teaching with the summer programs at Garrison Forest, then the USPA/PTF summer clinics at UVA. After college, she went back to Garrison Forest where she taught full time. Today Posey continues to teach at the Maryland Polo Club in the summers. She is an active member in the USPA belonging to many Intercollegiate/Interscholastic committees. Additionally, as an I/I player Posey won College National Championships in 2010 and received the PTF Player of the year award in 2013.
What has been one of your favorite teaching memories?
Watching the boys win Nationals. It was my first year at GFS but we've all grown up playing together. It was special to watch all the years of hard work pay off for them!
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
