Mario was first introduced to polo at a young age while watching his friends play in his hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. When he got a bit older he started to work around horses and wanted to be a part of the polo world. He was mentored by professional player Raul Rayina and eventually went on to groom for games and train green horses. Grooming gave him the opportunity to travel to England where he worked for a few years. The idea of American polo intrigued him so he made his way over to Indio, California in 2004. Working in California eventually brought him to Florida where he transitioned from working high goal polo to low goal polo. The more relaxed lifestyle of low goal polo gave him to opportunity to learn more about teaching, play more polo and even with the USPA President’s Cup. Mario began teaching in 2010 when he realized that was his true passion within polo. Mario is admired for his travels and experience within the sport; as he has observed the best players of the world, watched the best horses in the world and worked with various clients all over the country. Mario started his polo school in Saratoga, New York where he is very passionate about his students and his I/I program.

What has been one of your favorite teaching memories?
“Some of his favorites memories are from the kids… The learning never stops with this and the training of staff has been a big part of this. I want perfection on everything and I am working very hard on perfection for this business.”
