USPA NATIONAL ARENA BRONZE CUP
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Spearheaded by the Arena Committee and established in 2022, the USPA National Arena Bronze Cup fills the demand for national arena events at the low-goal level.
In 2023, the tournament made its debut at Brandywine Polo Club in Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania. La Jefa (Jill Hunt, Peyton Hunt, Kylie Beard, Diego "Joaquin" Arguello), Five String Farm (Martin Eddy, Cindy Halle, Pamela Patton) and Boothwyn Pharmacy/One Magnify (Katie Mitcham Medina, Alan "Alitan" Medina, Joaquin "Pelo" Vilgre La Madrid) battled in round-robin play to crown the first champion. Earning the most overall goals in the competition with 37, La Jefa ultimately bested the talented competition to earn the inaugural title.
Relocating to the Lone Star State, the 3- to 6-goal tournament will be hosted by Legends Polo Club in Kaufman, Texas, joining the National Arena Delegate's Cup, Southwestern Circuit General George S. Patton Jr., Southwestern Circuit Admiral Chester W. Nimitz and Southwestern Circuit General Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller as part of the widely popular Texas Arena League (TAL).
In its seventh year of competition, TAL is comprised of host locations at Legends Polo Club, Brookshire Polo Club (Brookshire, Texas), Dripping Springs Ranch Park Event Center & Arena and San Antonio Rose Palace uniting arena players competing from the -1 to 9-goal level across the state. Teams and players participating in TAL also have the opportunity to collect points accumulated at each event to be tallied towards End of League awards.
Awarding a new champion, this year's edition will feature 10 teams including Blazing Saddles, Eagles Landing, Elite Motion & Performance, El Caso Polo Club, Engel & Volkers, Hopward, Kuper Sotheby's, Polo InterActive, Sermus and Shweiki Media. Representing Team USPA are alumnae Tiamo Hudspeth (Elite Motion & Performance) and Stephanie Colburn (Engel & Volkers).
