UNITED STATES ARENA HANDICAP®
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
First played for in 1980, the United States Arena Handicap® is a national tournament played at the 12- to 16-goal level. Played from 2017-2020 at Aspen Valley Polo Club in Carbondale, Colorado, the United States Arena Handicap® returned to Twilight Polo Club in Middleburg, Virginia in 2021 for the first time since 2003.
In 2021, Hotels At Sea's (Tareq Salahi, Jorge “Tolito” Fernandez Ocampo Jr., Marcos Bignoli) unified teamwork and familiarity propelled them to an 18-14 victory and $20,000 grand prize over Core Real Estate (Andrew Baldwin, Connor Deal, John Gobin, sub. Wyatt Harlow). Read article here.
Returning to the finals for a second consecutive year, Core Real Estate's Andrew Baldwin, Eden Ormerod and Team USPA alumnus Connor Deal will go head-to-head against Liberty Hall's Zak Coleman, Liam Lott and John Gobin for the title.
Serving as a subsidiary final to the U.S. Open Polo Arena Championship®, the winner of the United States Arena Handicap® will take home $5,000 while the runner-up will receive $3,000 as part of the USPA Tournament Prize Money Matching Program (PMMP).
