The USPA Polo Network will livestream the Women's and Men's Finals on Saturday, April 8, at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET.

Tournament History

A longstanding tradition, the first National Intercollegiate Championship for the John R. Townsend Men's Intercollegiate Polo Trophy was won by Princeton University in 1922. In 1976, the Women’s Intercollegiate Championship for the Katydid Farm Women's Intercollegiate Polo Trophy was introduced and Yale University took home the top honors. Today, the NIC provides an opportunity for collegiate players from all corners of the United States to come together and compete for the historic trophy.

For over 100 years, Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club (SBPRC) has provided a world class polo facility for polo patrons, professionals, and amateurs of all levels. With an attractive location between the Carpentina Foothills and the Pacific Ocean, the club offers an unparalleled location for adrenaline filled competition amongst players and their mounts. Santa Barbara Polo Club proudly offers high quality polo for all levels of players on amazing fields.

Santa Barbara Polo Club offers over six months of polo each year at a variety of levels. Their season begins in mid-April where local California players are invited to play in casual club chukkers before the start of the spring season. Their 12-goal season runs from May to June, followed by their prominent high-goal season in July and August. Their upcoming high-goal season is truly something to watch. They have a field of intensely competitive 16-goal teams vying for the Belmond El Encanto Polo Classic, Nespresso USPA America Cup and Gulfstream Pacific Coast Open.
