HEAD POLO COACH OPENING AT GARRISON FOREST SCHOOL

Garrison Forest School (GFS) located in Owings Mills, Maryland, is seeking a Head Polo Coach for the 2017-18 school year. The Head Polo Coach is responsible for all aspects of the GFS Polo program including: teaching students of all ages and experience levels, coaching teams, horse care and management, tournament organization, record keeping and facility and equipment organization and management. Some travel is required for away games and tournaments.

The successful candidate will be a proficient polo player and rider with experience with polo instruction and coaching. Preference given to USPA Certified Polo Instructors. Candidate should be familiar with equine management, basic veterinary care and safe horse handling practices. Applicant should have the ability and desire to work with young people and adults, be responsible, mature, trustworthy and enthusiastic, have a strong work ethic and the desire to work in an academic environment committed to diversity and inclusion. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. A background check is required. Benefits may be available. The position starts August 21, 2017, and runs through June 12, 2018.
