There are three types of tournaments that USPA offers Member Clubs:
• National Events
• Circuit Events
• Sanctioned Events
All types of events are available to any USPA Member Club. Below the types of events are listed along with forms to apply for them.
A National event is the most prestigious type of tournament. There are National Events at every goal level for both outdoor and arena venues. To host a USPA National Event:
• The Club must complete a National Event Application
• Your application must be recommended by the USPA Tournament Committee for approval by the Board of Governors.
• The Club must pay the appropriate Contract Fee for the National Event for which you have applied. (See USPA Tournament Conditions in the Rules Booklet)
• The Club must submit a Tournament Results Packet
• Recognition for your Club as a host site.
• National Events attract sponsors.
• Results and photo in the Blue Book
• USPA provided awards.
• Multi-year awards are available (additional fees apply)
Circuit Events are available for both arena and outdoor play. They are available in many goal levels to any USPA Member Club.
To host a Circuit Event:
• The Club must complete a Circuit Event Application
• Applications must be approved by your Circuit Governor
• The Club must submit a Tournament Results Packet
• Prestige of a USPA Event.
• Results and photo in the Blue Book.
• USPA provided awards.
Sanctioned Events give Clubs the opportunity to name the tournament themselves. Some clubs honor individuals, families or charities.The Club chooses the goal level and may be held as invitational events. Sanctioned Events can be played as outdoor or arena Events.
To host a Sanctioned Event:
•The Club must complete a Sanctioned Event Application
• Applications must be approved by your Circuit Governor and if the event is over 12 goals, the USPA Tournament Committee.
• The Club must pay the appropriate Sanction Fee. (See USPA Tournament Conditions in the Rules Booklet)
• The Club must submit a Tournament Results Packet
• Prestige of a USPA Event
• Club chooses the Event name.
• Results and photo in the Blue Book.
• Club “owns” the Event and can continue hosting as long as fee is paid
