Welcome to Interscholastic & Intercollegiate Polo!
We hope you take the incredible opportunity provided by the USPA and join us in participating in this fabulous sport.

The United States Polo Association (USPA) Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) Polo Program is a great way to introduce our younger generations to the sport of polo. I/I teams compete in regular season games, invitationals and Regional & National USPA Tournaments across the country.

INTERSCHOLASTIC POLO

To compete in Interscholastic (IS) Polo, a team must be from a USPA Member School or be comprised of students that reside within 100 miles of a USPA Member Club. IS teams must have a minimum of three qualified players per team and many teams will have alternate players available. IS competition is divided into Girls’ events and Open (teams comprised of all boys or a mix of boys and girls) events. IS Polo is open to students in grades 5 through 12 who are under the age of 19 and scholastically eligible for other sports at their school. Currently, there are over 50 USPA IS teams competing throughout the country.

INTERCOLLEGIATE POLO

A team in the collegiate program must be a USPA member club that is authorized by the college/university to represent their school at regional and national events. Competition is available for both men’s and women’s teams. Students have five years to complete four years of eligibility to play polo, must be under the age of 26 years, and be academically eligible to participate in sports as verified through the college/university.
